Chapter 34.3: She’s the Future Lady of this House
“If I do not lose weight till I can move like a bolt of lightning, I will not be taking any dinner at night.” Mu Wushuang shook her head, adamantly refusing to eat.
As a woman, if she did not even have the willpower to control her own mouth that kept her own body in shape, she would never be able to amount to anything. She would not tolerate letting herself remain so fat, and be afraid of looking at herself in the mirror. Moreover, it was because of her weight that she was not able to use her techniques nimbly, and would be disadvantaged in a fight.
She was determined to diet, and no matter how ugly a shade the Imperial Uncle’s face became, she would not change her mind.
“Come Yun Hao. Let’s go to the training square!”
Mu Wushuang called out loudly as she put down her bowl.
Yun Yao was puzzled what the Mistress was up to but he went following behind her without any objection.
She had just got up and left in suave nonchalance, not bothering to notice the dark and forbidding look that had come to show on Long Moshen’s face.
Mu Yuheng took one look at the man’s face and quickly suppressed the twinkle of mirth in his eyes, quietly pushing a mouthful of rice into his mouth. That was a good job his elder sister had done there. A man must be put in his place a few times so that his elder sister would be able to exert control over her man in future.
Yun Hao brought Mu Wushuang over to the training square and they attracted the gaze of quite a few pairs of eyes along the way.
Everyone there at the training square were guardsmen from the Prince Regent’s palace. When they saw Mu Wushuang appear there, all of them immediately knitted up their brows and started debating among themselves.
“Why has that girl Mu Wushuang come to the training square for?”
“I heard Captain Feng Yun hates her to the core, and said that he wants to teach her a good lesson.”
“She is the one inciting His Highness, which caused His Highness to misunderstand the lady cousin, and she even hit two of the lady cousin’s personal serving maids! Who does she think she is? The lady cousin in the rightful lady of the house you know! ?”
“She’s so fat and ugly, and still struts around like a proud peacock. How utterly shameless!”
Yun Hao’s brows furrowed up. As his cultivation level was high, he was able to hear all those whispers of dissent. He knew that Liu Jiaojiao enjoyed quite a good standing among these people as Liu Jiaojiao frequently sent her maids to bring things here to give to the guards, showering them with care and concern. But the fact was that His Highness had no intention of marrying Liu Jiaojiao at all. Don’t they realize that they are thinking a little too much of themselves here?
Fortunately Mu Wushuang did not possess any cultivation at all, so she would not be able to hear any of it, and that was why he did not say anything to berate the other guards.
However, a guard whom Yun Hao did not see eye to eye with suddenly stepped forward to say sarcastically: “Look what we have here! Why, isn’t this our deputy guard captain Yun Hao? Why are you tailing that large and enormous behind like a dog?”
“Yun Jie, better watch your words. We have an esteemed guest here in the palace. This is Young Miss Mu.” Yun Hao said in a grave tone.
“An esteemed guest! ? I think that’s a homeless stray instead!” Yun Jie spat onto the ground in disgust as he spoke, looking Mu Wushuang up and down with a disdainful glare. He then continued. “I have never seen anyone more obese and uglier than you! Seen from afar, I would have thought that you’re a man that’s over three hundred catties in weight!”
“Hahahaha!” The other guards broke into roars of laughter.
