Chapter 95.3: A Trifling Trinket, Like a Toy
“Tsk, Mu Wushuang. You’ve finally decided to show yourself. Making so many of us here wait for you, doesn’t it prick your conscience at all?”
Mu Ningwei said sarcastically, but her gaze was fixed upon the sedan that was fading off into the distance.
Although Song Yiyang was feeling jealous of how close Mu Wushuang was with Long Moshen, but he found Mu Ningwei who stares at the pot while she eats from her bowl really detestable. But Xu Yuan insists on being such a fool, refusing to see that the girl’s heart is set on someone else, and chooses to view Mu Wushuang with enmity.
“Mu Ningwei, if this Prince’s memory serves me correctly, you’re Wushuang’s younger paternal cousin right? Do you always talk in such a manner to your elder cousin? What kind of an upbringing did you have?”
Song Yiyang said as he gazed coldly at Mu Ningwei.
Mu Ningwei’s face turned a shade of green before she went quite pale. Xu Yuan wanted to speak up for the young woman but Mu Ningxue stood forward at that moment and said in a gentle voice.
“Weiwei might just have spoken a little too quickly, however she is still in the wrong here by addressing our third younger cousin by her name. Weiwei, you should apologise to your elder Third Sister.”
Mu Ningwei had never expected that elder sis would ask her to go apologise to that Mu Wushuang!
She was indignant for a moment before she saw the look her elder sister was giving her. She then understood Mu Ningxue’s intentions and she quelled the anger inside before going on to say to Mu Wushuang with a smile.
“Third Sis, I’m sorry. I was feeling anxious and that was why my voice got a little too loud. It wasn’t just me, but because so many people were waiting for you, I was afraid that people would come to have a bad impression of the Hou Manor.”
Her words… tried to imply that she was merely concerned for the other people here, and was also worried about the Hou Manor’s reputation, seeking to make the people who waited appreciate her concern for them, and come to dislike Mu Wushuang.
Mu Wushuang cast the two sisters an indifferent glance. Where did these two wild chickens come from? And were putting on such an act!
She just could not be bothered with those two.
She would very much rather feast her eyes on beautiful looking men.
Hence she went straight towards the handsome looking Song Yiyang and said to the man: “Your Highness, is everyone here already?”
“Yes. We’re all here. Let’s go board the airship.” Song Yiyang replied with a smile, being a perfect gentleman as he extended his hand out to invite the young lady to board first.
When Ximen Kang saw that Mu Wushuang did not even give him a single glance all this time, a fire ignited in his heart.
Didn’t she show up here together with Long Moshen just to make him jealous?
And now, she was intentionally not giving him a single glance. That girl was surely just playing hard to get.
But he was a high noble, a member of the Imperial Family, so he could not very well lower himself down to go speak to the girl first or she would think that he was someone easy to manipulate, and would step all over his head in future!
A girl like this, must be put in her proper place, so that she will realize that being with him would be her greatest honour throughout her life.
Hence, the look on his face remained frigid, and he did not say a word.
If Mu Wushuang knows what’s good for her, she had better come admit her wrong and apologize to him.
It was a medium sized flying artifact, shaped like a boat, and powered by demon beast cores and spirit stones, not something an ordinary person could afford to use.
It wasn’t because crystal cores were hard to find, but because spirit stones were too few and rare, where the number of spirit stone ore veins throughout the entire Nine Heavens Continent could be counted on one hand. And they were all basically dominated by the various large clans and sects, making it hard for most ordinary cultivators to see even one single spirit stone throughout their lives.
That was also the reason why the cultivators in the Nine Heavens Continent were largely unable to attain high levels. Because there were so many more spirit stones in the high level realms, people were also able to draw spirit energy from the spirit stones for cultivation, giving them much better results.
Hence, countless cultivators were always seeking to move to higher level continents, just like the twenty first century in her previous life, where people from rural villages sought out great cities, as the disparity in resources was like the distance between Heaven and earth.
After they boarded the flying airship, everyone was allocated a separate guest room each. Although the rooms were not big, it provided them with everything they needed, and the deck was to be used for meals and for people to admire the view.
Having gotten a rough look around, Mu Wushuang was feeling rather envious. If only she could have a flying artifact like this as well.
“Mistress, you just need to kidnap an Artifact Specialist to build a flying artifact for you. Little Vermillion and I will help you find a vein of spirit stone ore!”
The excited voice of the little bandit Little Bird sounded suddenly in her head.
