Chapter 18.1: Handsome Twins
“Feng Yun did not manage to fix Mu Wushuang?”
Liu Jiaojiao stood up to question, and when she saw her trusted aide nod her head, her face turned steely green. What a quick witted and sharp tongued Mu Wushuang.
She then turned around and said with a cold laugh. “Feng Yun is the head of the guards and now that Mu Wushuang has built a grudge with him, all the other guards will surely not be friendly to her. So what if she has the key to the treasury? If the guards are not willing to pay her any heed, there will be a good show for us to watch when she goes out in the future.”
“That’s true. What does Mu Wushuang think she is? How can she possibly compare to you at all? Your servant thinks that it is because Mu Wushuang is holding the Hou Manor’s Tiger Talisman and that is why His Highness brought her back to the palace. Otherwise, His Highness would never give such a fat and ugly person a second glance.” Liu Jiaojiao personal maid said, trying to butter up her Mistress.
Liu Jiaojiao had thought of that as well, and that was the reason her anger had more or less subsided. Afterall, His Highness always did things for a reason so when he gets his hands on the Tiger Talisman, she then want to see what else that Mu Wushuang has to be so haughty about.
Moreover, Mu Wushuang killed His Highness’ own men here in the Prince Regent’s palace, even if His Highness does not punish her, he would definitely not like how she had kicked up such a racket in his place of residence.
“Lady cousin, it will be a full moon very soon. Your most urgent task now should be to make use of this opportunity to win yourself a proper place and position with His Highness! That ugly Mu Wushuang would never stand a chance at all!” The maid Ding Xiang continued to lay it on thickly.
“I would naturally want to gain a proper status with His Highness. But doing it this way….. Will His Highness be willing to?” Liu Jiaojiao’s brows furrowed up, the look on her face hesitant. She did not really want to continue staying here in the Prince’s palace without any proper status herself as Heaven knows how many people have been laughing at her behind her back. But asking her to do something to threaten His Highness, was something that she really did not dare to do.
“I’m sure you have a place in His Highness’ heart by now. By doing that, you are only forcing His Highness to acknowledge his feelings. You know it very well that His Highness has a cold and quiet personality. If you do not be more assertive and take the initiative, other women will definitely come in the future and you might not have any place left to stand anymore!” Ding Xiang said persuasively.
Upon hearing that last sentence, Liu Jiaojiao clenched her jaws tightly in determination, her heart set.

Returning back to the Bright Pearl Pavilion, Mu Wushuang pulled out a single banknote, and gave it to Sang Lan to purchase a few suits of clothes and some herbs.
Her beautiful little brother needs to take his medicine everyday, and all the herbs needed were highly expensive ones, so she had no choice but to purchase them with the Imperial Uncle’s money.
She had no qualms about using the money as the Imperial Uncle had so much gold, silver and precious treasures, and they were all covered in a thick layer of dust. Well, someone has got to spend them right? The Imperial Uncle has said it himself anyway, that she was to spend the money as she pleased, and she did not need to ask him. So, she did not feel the slightest pinch in spending the money at all.
