Chapter 60.2: Kneel Down To Apologize
“It isn’t entirely impossible for me to drink that cup of Realgar wine, but if it’s proven that I did not take the Fleeting Intoxicating Bloom, then you, Princess Tian Xiang, will then kneel down and apologize to me. How about it?”
Princess Tian Xiang just could not wait to have see her drink the Realgar wine and see her make a fool out of herself, so she immediately replied: “Why would I not dare to! ?”
“Imperial Uncle, you must bear witness for Shuang Er here, as Princess Tian Xiang cannot be allowed to go back on her words later.” Mu Wushuang turned around to Long Moshen and said to the man.
“This Prince shall bear witness.”
Long Moshen glanced up at the young woman for a moment, and then said in a cold and impassive voice.
“This Emperor shall bear witness as well.”
At that moment, Ximen Sheng stepped in from outside.
He had been listening from outside the doors and was feeling a little frustrated with Mu Wushuang. He had thought that the young woman had really slimmed down and had not thought that she had become good looking by taking a banned drug. If he had known this earlier, based on the pig head like Mu Wushuang he had seen in a portrait from before, he would never ever have wanted to use a beauty trap to bait that young woman!
So he wanted to ascertain whether Mu Wushuang had really taken the banned drug or not.
“Since I have His Majesty and the Imperial Uncle as my witnesses here, I shall then drink the wine.”
Upon saying that, Mu Wushuang then took the cup of wine from Princess Tian Xiang’s hand, and threw her head back to down the drink in one single gulp.
Immediately, silence descended upon the grand hall like a blanket, and everyone’s eyes were staring fixedly at Mu Wushuang’s face, waiting expectantly for it to change.
Having waited for a while, they still did not see the tiniest bit of change on Mu Wushuang’s face. Moreover, the harder they stared at her face, the more they found that the young woman’s facial features were really exceptionally good looking, unable to find a single flaw in them.
“Impossible! It must be because you drank too little of the Realgar wine! Here! Bring me more wine!”
Princess Tian Xiang screeched loudly, her face twisting up in disbelief, her voice almost breaking to sound like a rooster crowing.
An eunuch quickly came running in, carrying a whole jar of the wine.
Mu Wushuang scoffed coldly and said: “Princess Tian Xiang, even if I were to finish that whole jar of wine to its last drop, will you still continue to say that I did not take enough, and seek to squirm your way out of your very own words?”
Princess Tian Xiang’s face had turned both green and white. “You will only need to just drink three more cups. If there is still no reaction, then this Princess will then kneel down and apologize to you!”
Mu Wushuang gazed at Princess Tian Xiang with cold frosty eyes, like she was looking at a dancing clown. Mu Wushuang then lifted the wine jar, and suavely poured the wine generously into her mouth. The spilled wine flowed down over her throat, over that smooth fair tender skinned neck. People watched intently as her throat took gulp after gulp, and they subconsciously swallowed their saliva.
Strange. She was clearly just a plump and swollen figured woman there, so why would their bodies react like that?
A good number of men were staring at her with fervour in their eyes.
Long Moshen’s chilling gaze shot icy daggers over the people in the crowd, and all the men instinctively lowered their heads in an instant, not daring to cast another glance in Mu Wushuang’s direction.
