Chapter 3.2: Xuanyuan Hao
The Royal Hotel room number 2333. Xuanyuan Hao pushed open the door when he saw Feng Qingcheng in a striking red negligee at first glance. She was laying on her side while wiping her gun.
“Beauty, you’re surprising me even more now.”
“That’s right, but I’m not sure whether it’d be considered a surprise or shock for you in a moment!” Feng Qingcheng aimed her gun at Xuanyuan Hao’s chest.
Xuanyuan Hao didn’t bother to glance at the gun, he lifted Feng Qingcheng’s left hand and noticed a gilded, purple jade bangle adorned her beautiful wrist.
“It’s beautiful!”
Feng Qingcheng looked over with the tail of her eye, it was a bangle that some fortune teller forced her to accept from many years ago. She wasn’t a fan of jewelry and accessories but since she had put on a cheongsam for the occasion that day, she decided to accessorize her outfit with the bangle.
Right at that moment that she glanced over, Xuanyuan Hao took one step in front and managed to subdue Feng Qingcheng by pressing her elbow down.
Feng Qingcheng could only feel her arm getting numb and she quickly reacted, firing three shots at Xuanyuan Hao.
Even after she fired three shots at Xuanyuan Hao, he didn’t collapse as expected. On the contrary, he seemed totally fine and he twisted Feng Qingcheng’s hands behind her back. The gun fell onto the ground and he moved forward, the both of them fell onto the bed.
Feng Qingcheng could only feel a series of sensations throughout her body. At one time, it felt numb, then warm, then she felt feeble. Recalling the scent that she had sniffed when she entered the room earlier, she instantly figured everything out. Her first reaction was to bawl out, “Unscrupulous!”
Xuanyuan Hao continued to sniff the scent emanating from Feng Qingcheng’s hair while he explained, “Hey, you can’t blame me for that, it’s your best partner who divulged it to me. The whole bunch of you have undergone some intensive training and normal drugs wouldn’t be sufficient to take you down. It was especially so, since you’re an Asura, you’re almost immune to most drugs!”
Feng Qingcheng felt a twinge in her heart, she had actually figured it out when Xuanyuan Hao didn’t die after she fired three shots at him. The bullets had been switched out and the only person who was able to do that was Yuwen Che. No matter how cold-blooded and heartless an assassin was, they’ve worked together for nine whole years. They were best partners and experience life and death together, no one would be able to not feel a thing after being betrayed by their partner.
“Asura, you’re indeed beautiful and charming, I almost fell for you earlier.”
She glanced over at the door to a partition in the room. “Yuwen Che, how much longer do you intend to eavesdrop on us?”
Once Yuwen Che came out from the partition, Feng Qingcheng glared at him with the fiercest look in her eyes, she could almost break all of her teeth by gritting on them so hard.
Yuwen Che looked at Feng Qingcheng, walking beside her and lifted the dagger in his hands. With rapid motion, he cut all of her tendons.
“Darling, there seems to be something that’s missing from your face.” After saying that, he started to rub her forehead.
After a bit, a red lotus birthmark appeared on her forehead.
Xuanyuan Hao had noticed the red lotus birthmark on her forehead too. He spoke up, “It turns out that it’s really you, I remember you, you used to hide in the orphanage and peek at my mother and I, am I right?”
Feng Qingcheng’s pupils dilated with horror. “It’s you?!”
“Yes, it’s me. Asura, I’ve managed to survive, I made sure to climb out from hell in order to look for you.”
Feng Qingcheng could never forget the first mission she was assigned with after she emerged as the last surviving winner on the Devil’s Island. It was also because of that mission, she had been stabbed in the abdomen and almost died because of that.
It was only because her target was the mother and son she was envious of and used to peek at back at the orphanage. She couldn’t help but relent, the price she had to pay for that was that the little boy stabbed her in the abdomen. The price she had to pay was that even after so many years, she was still hurt by the same boy, he had incapacitated her limbs.
Feng Qingcheng felt her body getting strengthless and her face flushed a beet red. She couldn’t help but feel an uncontrollable heat all over, though the pain from her tendons being broken had her sober for a moment, it was just for that one moment. The pain was nothing compared to the physical desires inside of her, it was almost consuming her.
She panted while saying, “I’ll admit my defeat, you’re the winner here and you’re free to do anything you want. My only regret is not killing you by firing that one shot, I should have gotten rid of everything. Since you hate me so much, just kill me now.”
“No, no, no. You’re such a stunner, how can I bear to just kill you like that? When Cousin Che and I are done enjoying you, we’re going to send you to the most popular nightclub in town. You’re going to have many different men to dote on you then.”
Feng Qingcheng didn’t even have the time to react to the fact that Yuwen Che was Xuanyuan Hao’s cousin, she started struggling once she heard his words. Her wrists and ankles were all bloody and gruesome looking, the entire room was filled with the stench of blood.
Yuwen Che was first to approach her, he started running his fingers over her delicate skin.
“Qingcheng, you’ll never understand how much I love and adore you. It’s such a shame, you’re too stubborn and strong. You’re just like poppy seeds, you’re given me so much hope and imagination of a beautiful future together, but at the next moment, you pulled me into an abyss.”
