Chapter 49.1: Enemy
Duanmu Xi frowned slightly and her pair of purple eyes looked coldly at the black robed old man.
Seeing her undisguised displeasure, the old man immediately tried to explain and introduced the young man next to him: “This is my family’s Young Patriarch.”
The young man finally came back to his senses and immediately realised his own gaffe. He quickly placed his hands together and saluted her courteously.
“Lady, I am Feng Xifan and I apologise for my rude behaviour just now. I have unintentionally offended this Lady, please pardon me.”
He was never a person who was after beauties, if he had to blame, he had to push the blame onto her, she was simply too beautiful.
This young man was the Young Patriarch of the Feng Clan?
Seeing that the displeasure on Duanmu Xi’s face had lessened, Feng Xifan took out a VIP card.
“This Lady’s status is honorable, please accept the VIP card of our Innumerable Treasures Pavilion.”
VIP card?
She didn’t expect it to come so easily, this way, they would be able to have a private room on the third floor. Hmm, this VIP card wasn’t too bad.
Duanmu Xi took the VIP card and threw it directly into her interspatial ring.
Seeing that Duanmu Xi had accepted the VIP card, Feng Xifan finally let out a sigh of relief.
“Dear esteemed guests, after you leave this room, someone will lead you to your VIP room on the third floor.”
Duanmu Xi nodded and brought Phoenix Fifth out of the Treasures Reflection Chamber.
There was a servant girl waiting by the door and it was the very same servant girl who had led the way earlier on.
When the servant girl saw that the two of them, she was slightly nervous.
She did not expect that the distinguished guests mentioned by the Young Patriarch was actually the very same two ladies whom she had served earlier. What was the identity of these two people? In a blink of an eye, they had attained the VIP card of the Innumerable Treasures Pavilion.
Although she had some doubts, the servant girl still smiled sweetly at them.
“Dear esteemed guests, come this way please.”
The servant girl brought Duanmu Xi and Phoenix Fifth to the VIP room number seven on the third floor of the Innumerable Treasures Pavilion.
“Dear esteemed guests, please wait for a moment, the auction will begin soon.”
The servant girl served them each a cup of tea before she retreated respectfully.
Duanmu Xi looked around the room and nodded in satisfaction.
Not bad, although it was not very luxurious, it was elegant.
There were two calligraphy paintings hung on the wall of the room. There were various kinds of fruits and refreshments on the round table in the middle. There was also a window across the door. You can see the panoramic view of the auction floor downstairs by pushing open the window.
The window was closed, blocking the noisy clamourings from downstairs. She didn’t expect the sound insulation of this room to be so good. This VIP room was pretty impressive.
In the VIP room number one on the third floor, Feng Xifan seems to be still immersed in his own thoughts as the peerless face of Duanmu Xi kept appearing.
“Fan’er.”
A middle-aged man who looked somewhat similar to Feng Xifan waved his hands in front of Feng Xifan.
“Father.”
Feng Xifan finally recovered.
The middle-aged man was the owner of this Innumerable Treasures Pavilion, the Patriarch of the Feng clan, Feng Hua.
“Fan’er, is everything alright? Why do you look as if you’ve lost your spirit? I’ve called you several times and you didn’t seem to hear me at all.”
“It’s nothing.” Feng Xifan shook his head, with some guilt welling up in his consciousness.
Feng Hua looked at his son suspiciously before he said, “For today’s auction, Chu Xiaoran and the other three family heads all came?”
When it came to business, Feng Xifan immediately became serious.
“All of them are arrived and they are in their usual rooms.”

As the bell rang, the auction officially began.
A beautiful and enchanting woman stood on the round table in the center of the auction house.
“This little lady, Hua Mei’er, welcomes everyone to attend this auction at Innumerable Treasures Pavilion.”
Hua Mei’er smiled and greeted everyone in the audience.
“I know that everyone is here for the treasures of our Innumerable Treasures Pavilion, so without further ado, let’s begin thi auction. We’ll start auctioning the first treasure.”
With a clap of her hands, a beautiful lady held a tray and walked up to the round table.
The tray was covered with a red cloth, so the people could not see what was inside.
